Cacao nib biscuits are to chocolate chip biscuits as vanilla bean ice cream would be to French vanilla ice cream every one has its place. A number of you’ll wonder why I’d want to eliminate a sweet, melty chocolate chip and replace it together with a hard, bitter, nut such as thing. While they are not a substitute for your chocolate chip cookie, cacao nib biscuits are a wonderful change and will be appreciated by chocolate lovers. These cacao nib biscuits were caused by more Fancy Food Show loot. Taking a large whiff of every open bag makes you look as if you would be right in the chocolate factory and every bag smells different.
There is no way you can smell these cacao nibs and leave sayingchocolate is chocolate. I baked some biscuits with all the four nib flavours which I’d, kept them different, and had a taste off. Of the four participants, two enjoyed the best one liked, one enjoyed the Jembrana the best, and I enjoyed the Madagascar the best. They have been tagged Greatest Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies. They weren’t big, fat, or chewy. These biscuits were best right from the oven when they were plump, tender, and warm. After cooling, they became tough and crispy. Butif you put a cookie cutter on a paper towel in those microwave oven for fifteen minutes, its back into its fresh from the oven devotion.

Surely, chocolate chip biscuits were invented over a hundred years ago, I thought. Not so. According to Kitchen Project : Ruth Wakefield invented chocolate chip biscuits in 1930 in those Toll House inn she and her husband Keneth ran near Whitman, Massachusetts. Like a bed and breakfast she made food for her guests. One evening in 1937 she got the idea to make a chocolate butter cookie cutter so she broke up one of those bars of semi candy chocolate that Andrew Nestle gave her. She thought that it would mix together with the dough & make all chocolate cookies. It goes without saying, it didnt.
